Among the tall rocks at the foot of the Alatau mountains, in the middle of a green meadow, lived Sungkarbek the Marmot. He was a very hardworking marmot. Every day he would wake up before dawn, trying to make the most of each short summer day. Sungkarbek would expand his underground burrow, making it cozy. He also gathered various tasty roots and leaves, preparing a store of food for winter. His neighbors, the little squirrels and deer, were amazed by Sungkarbek's diligence.
One day, Sungkarbek looked around and noticed that mid-summer had arrived, and nature was flourishing. A wonderful idea came to his mind: "Why don't I throw a big feast with my friends? How wonderful would it be to share the delicious food I've gathered through all this hard work and have some fun?"
Sungkarbek immediately got to work. He brought out the biggest, tastiest roots and the sweetest berries from his burrow. Then he climbed to the highest peak of the mountain and announced loudly: "Friends! I invite you to a summer feast! Come, let's have fun together!"

Soon, animals from all over the mountain began to gather. Deer, squirrels, and even distant rabbits came to Sungkarbek's invitation. They were amazed by the richness of the feast table. Sungkarbek offered the most delicious food to each guest and chatted with them. The animals sang, danced, and were filled with laughter. It was a true celebration!
But only one guest did not come to the feast – it was the lazy Kaskyr (Wolf). Kaskyr used to mock Sungkarbek's hard work and never gathered anything himself. He always tried to live at the expense of others. During the feast, Kaskyr sat hungry because he hadn't gathered any food. He heard the noise of the feast from afar and regretted it deeply. After the feast ended, Sungkarbek felt sorry for him and gave him some of his food. Kaskyr was ashamed and thanked Sungkarbek.
After the feast ended, Sungkarbek was pleased to see the fruits of his hard work. He had a fun evening with his friends and brought them joy. And as for the animals, after Sungkarbek's feast, they understood the importance of hard work much better. They decided to start working now to throw such a feast themselves next summer.

Before falling asleep that night, Sungkarbek understood that the food he had gathered could not only fill stomachs but also bring friends together and create joyful moments. He did not regret organizing this feast; on the contrary, he dreamed of throwing an even bigger feast next year.
