The Cotton Girl and the Cat Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Makta. While cleaning her house, she found a raisin and called for the cat, but the cat did not come.

Makta and the Cat

 Girl:
– If you don't want to come, then don't! – she said and ate the raisin herself. After she finished eating, the cat came and asked:
– Why did you call me?
Makta did not answer. Then the cat said:
– Then I'll spill your sour milk!
Makta replied:
– I'll cut off your tail!
The cat spilled the sour milk. Makta cut off the cat's tail.
The cat:
– Sister, sister, please give me my tail back! – it said.
Makta:
– Pay me with sour milk! – she replied.
The cat went to the cow.
– Cow, give me some sour milk! – it said.

The cow:
– I'm hungry. Bring me some leaves! – it replied.

Makta and the Cat
The cat went to the tree:
– Tree, tree, please give me your leaves! – it said.
The tree:
– I'm thirsty. If you bring water, I'll give you leaves, – it replied.
As the cat was going to get water, it saw some girls carrying water.
– Girls, girls, please give me some water! – it said.
The girls replied:
– If you bring us some gum, we will give you water, – they said.
The cat went to the shop.
– Hey, shopkeeper, give me some gum! – it said.
The shopkeeper:
– Give me some eggs! – he replied.
The cat went to the hen.
– Hen, hen, please give me some eggs! – it said.

Makta and the Cat
The hens:
– If you bring us some grains, we will give you eggs, – they said.
The cat thought, "What should I do now?" as it walked along and saw a mouse digging a burrow. The cat pounced on the mouse.
– Speak while you can! What do you have in your house? – it said.
The mouse, frightened, replied:
– I have a plate of millet in my house.
The cat:
– Give me a handful of millet, – it said.
The mouse went home and brought back a handful of millet; the cat took the millet and gave it to the hen, and the hen laid eggs; the cat took the eggs to the shopkeeper; the shopkeeper gave gum; the cat took the gum to the girls, and the girls gave water; the cat took the water to the tree; the tree gave leaves; the cat took the leaves to the cow, and the cow gave sour milk; the cat took the sour milk to Makta, and Makta gave the cat its tail back.
