Little Sparrow Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, there lived an old man and an old woman. They had a small sparrow bird named Torgai, whom they loved as if it were their own child since they had no children. Torgai was clever and brave, always caring for the old couple, who fed it and gave it their blessings each morning.

One day, the old man and woman fell gravely ill and were bedridden. Seeing them suffer, Torgai decided to help them. It remembered hearing about the great Samruk bird, who lived under an ancient tree in the village center and knew of herbs that could heal any illness.

Determined to save them, Torgai spread its wings and embarked on a long journey. Along the way, the wind, the sun, and the rain all tested its strength, but it didn’t stop. For the sake of the old couple, it flew on without rest.

Finally, Torgai reached the tree and found the mighty Samruk bird. Torgai explained the situation, and Samruk, touched by its bravery, handed it a magical seed and said:

“Plant this seed near the old couple’s hearth. After a few days, a special herb will grow that will cure them and give them new life.”

Torgai returned to the village, planted the seed by the couple’s home, and waited. A few days later, a beautiful herb sprouted from the seed, and the old couple, after using the herb, recovered and became healthy once again.

Since that day, the villagers honored Torgai as a symbol of bravery and loyalty. And the old couple cherished Torgai like their own child, always thanking it and offering food as a sign of gratitude.
