Once Upon a Time in the Sunny Meadow
In a bright and colorful meadow, where flowers danced in the gentle breeze, lived a wise old tortoise named Tully. Tully was known for his calm and steady nature. He moved slowly, taking in all the beauty around him. His friends, on the other hand, were always in a hurry. There was Benny the Bunny, who would often say, “Come on, Tully! Let’s race! We have to hurry up!”
The Race Against Time
One sunny morning, Benny hopped over to Tully with excitement in his eyes. “Tully! Today is the Great Meadow Race! We must hurry! Everyone is getting ready!”
Tully smiled gently and replied, “Oh, Benny, you know I don’t rush. I’ll join you, but let’s take our time to enjoy the morning.”
But Benny was already bouncing away, “We have no time for that, Tully! The race will start soon!” Tully sighed but followed his friend, hoping to calm his eagerness.

The Race Begins
When the whistle blew, everyone dashed off, except for Tully, who took his time. “I’ll get there,” he thought, “but I want to enjoy the journey.” As he walked slowly, he noticed the flowers blooming and heard the cheerful chirping of the birds. “Isn’t it beautiful?” he called out to his friends.
Meanwhile, Benny zoomed ahead, panting, “I can’t lose! I must win!” But in all his rushing, he stumbled over a rock and tumbled into a bush. “Oh no!” he cried. “I’m stuck!”
Hearing his friend’s distress, Tully turned around and said, “Benny, don’t worry! I’m coming!” He slowly made his way back, carefully helping Benny out of the bush. “You see, my friend, sometimes it’s better to take your time.”
Benny nodded, still a bit flustered. “You’re right, Tully. I was just so excited!”
The Lesson Learned
As the race continued, Tully decided he would finish, even if it took him longer. He encouraged Benny to walk with him. “Let’s enjoy the meadow together,” Tully said, smiling. They walked side by side, appreciating the beauty around them. They laughed, talked, and even played with a few butterflies along the way.
When they finally reached the finish line, the others were already there, cheering and clapping. “You made it, Tully!” Clara shouted, surprised to see them. “We thought you’d be last!”
“But I enjoyed every moment,” Tully replied, his eyes sparkling. “Rushing doesn’t always mean winning. Sometimes, it means missing out on the joy around you.”
Benny smiled brightly, “Thanks for helping me, Tully. I learned that it’s okay not to be the fastest. What matters is enjoying the journey!”

From that day on, Tully and Benny decided to take their time in everything they did. They explored the meadow, played games, and even discovered hidden treasures like sparkling stones and colorful feathers. Their friends joined them, and soon everyone learned that life was not a race but rather a wonderful adventure to savor.
