Turnip Fairy Tale

Once upon a time, there lived an old man and an old woman. They had a garden. One day, the old man decided to plant a turnip. The turnip grew very large. One day, the old man wanted to pull the turnip out of the ground. He pulled and pulled, but he couldn't get it out.

The old man called his wife for help. The old woman held onto the old man, and the old man held onto the turnip, pulling and pulling. But they couldn't move it at all. The old woman then called their granddaughter for help. The granddaughter held onto her grandmother, her grandmother held onto her grandfather, and her grandfather held onto the turnip, pulling and pulling. Still, they couldn't pull it out. The granddaughter called her dog for help.

The dog held onto the granddaughter's dress, the granddaughter held onto her grandmother, her grandmother held onto her grandfather, and her grandfather held onto the turnip, pulling and pulling. They still couldn't get the turnip out. Now the dog called the cat for help. The cat held onto the dog's tail, the dog held onto the granddaughter's dress, the granddaughter held onto her grandmother, her grandmother held onto her grandfather, and her grandfather held onto the turnip, tugging this way and that. The turnip wouldn't budge. Then the cat called the mouse. The mouse came and held onto the cat's tail, the cat held onto the dog, the dog held onto the granddaughter's dress, the granddaughter held onto her grandmother, her grandmother held onto her grandfather, and her grandfather held onto the turnip. They pulled and pulled, and finally, they managed to pull the turnip out.
