Saken Soaring to the Sky and the Clever Fox's Starry Path Fairy Tale

In a wide steppe, in an aul where the stars seemed close enough to touch, lived a boy named Saken. He was ten years old, his eyes always fixed on the sky, always yearning for the mysterious world beyond. His dream was to fly into space, uncover the secrets of the stars, and touch the moon's surface. Every evening, as he lay gazing at the sky, Saken would build his own flying ship in his mind and journey through galaxies. Although the elders of the aul considered his dream a childish fantasy, the fire in Saken's heart never extinguished.

One day, Aldar Kose came to the aul. His stories and cleverness had become legendary among the people. Aldar Kose always championed justice and exposed trickery and deceit. Hearing about him, Saken wanted to ask Aldar Kose how he could make his dream come true. Aldar Kose, seeing the flame in Saken's eyes, told him a riddle: "If you can find the brightest star in the sky and bring its light down to Earth, your dream will come true."

Saken didn't understand the meaning of the riddle, but he didn't lose hope. Every day, he watched the sky, searching for the brightest star among them. One evening, he noticed a peculiar star in the sky. Its light was different from the others, as if it was enchanting. Saken sought a way to reach this star. He went to the oldest wise man in the aul. The wise man told him: "To reach the stars, only the purity of your heart and the sharpness of your mind will help you. And also, a clever fox will assist you."

Saken was surprised by the mention of a fox's help. Foxes were usually known for their cunning and trickery. But Aldar Kose's riddle and the wise man's words made him think. Saken went to the forest outside the aul. Many foxes lived there. Saken noticed a special fox among them. Its fur was red, its tail bushy, and its eyes were intelligent. Saken approached it and told it about his dream. The fox listened carefully to Saken's words, then said: "I will help you, but I have one condition. If you bring the star's light, you must use it to delight my children."

Saken agreed and set off with the fox. A long and difficult journey awaited them. They crossed mountains, waded through rivers, and traversed dense forests. Along the way, they encountered many obstacles. Once, they entered a thick fog, but thanks to the fox's keen sense of smell, they didn't get lost. Another time, they faced a large predator, but thanks to Saken's bravery and the fox's cunning, they survived.

One day, they reached the top of a high mountain. When they climbed to the peak, they saw the shining light of the stars in the sky. Saken had never seen such beauty before. The brightest star he was looking for seemed to be close to them. But reaching it was not easy. A deep chasm lay before them. The fox looked at Saken and said: "Here is the test. How will we cross this chasm?"

Saken thought. He remembered Aldar Kose's words: "Wisdom and resourcefulness." He looked around and saw a large fallen tree. The tree was long enough to reach the other side of the chasm. Saken helped the fox and positioned the tree as a bridge over the chasm. They crossed the tree and approached the star.

When they reached the star, Saken felt as if he was in a magical world. The star's light warmed his face and filled his heart with joy. Saken collected the star's light in a small glass jar. The light inside the jar glowed, illuminating the eyes of the fox who had come with him. Joy also awakened in the fox's heart, for it knew that by helping Saken, it would bring light to its children.

They returned home. Saken went to Aldar Kose. Aldar Kose saw the light in the glass jar in Saken's hand and smiled: "You have achieved your dream, Saken. You have brought not only the light of a star, but also the light of bravery, wisdom, and friendship," he said. Saken kept his promise to the fox and shared the star's light with its children. The fox's children saw the glowing light and jumped and played with joy. Their den filled with light, and a feeling of warmth enveloped everyone.
