Once upon a time, under the blue sky, in an endless vast plain, colorful birds lived. Among them was a special village. In this village, various birds, with different colors and melodies, sang together, made friends, and lived in harmony. The oldest, wisest, and kindest swallow was the leader of all the birds.
One day, a young sparrow named Toray, who lived on the edge of the village, was looking for friends among the birds in his village. He was very small but very brave. Toray always delighted the birds around him with his cheerful songs. However, he felt lonely and wanted to spend joyful times with friends.
One day, Toray approached a pigeon named Kogerik, whom he thought was his closest friend but who completely ignored him, and asked, “Kogerik, will you play with me?” Kogerik replied, “Sorry, Toray, I have important matters to attend to. I need to protect my nest.” Toray's heart sank. He decided to look for other birds who would like to be his friends.
Toray went to the forest and met a beautiful yellow-feathered, big-eyed yellow-throated bird among the lush green trees. He asked, “Hello! I’m Toray, what’s your name?” The yellow-throated bird replied, “I’m Sary, I only sing, but I don’t have time to play with you.” Once again, Toray was left alone.
Then, Toray continued on his way and encountered a blue bird named Koksil. “Koksil, will you play with me?” he asked. Koksil replied, “Sorry, Toray, I’m currently looking for food to build my nest.” Toray's spirits fell even further.
Only after this did Toray understand that everyone had their own matters to attend to. He was tired and decided to return. However, on his way back, he noticed something: all the birds in the forest had gathered in one place and were making a commotion. Toray approached them and asked what was happening.
Among the birds, he witnessed a large, dark-winged bird named Karakus sitting under an old tree, frightening everyone. Karakus proclaimed, “I am Karakus, no one should disturb me! Only my friend can be in my territory,” he boasted.
Though Toray was scared, he gathered his courage and stepped forward. “Karakus, why are you scaring everyone? Friendship should be about cooperation, not fear,” he said.
Karakus looked at Toray and joked, “You’re just a little sparrow, you can’t scare me.” However, Toray’s bravery and kindness made Karakus think. “Perhaps, you could be my friend?” he asked.
Toray’s words also affected the other birds. They decided to unite and help dispel the fear in Karakus’s heart. For several days, they sang, danced, and spent joyful times together. Seeing the friendship between Toray and the other birds, Karakus also sought to escape his loneliness and find friends.
Since then, Karakus became the kindest and friendliest bird in the village. He was with all the birds, sharing in their joys and hardships. Toray, along with his friends, was infinitely happy. They helped each other, overcame difficulties, and strengthened their friendship.
All the birds in the village, through the friendship of Toray and Karakus, understood what true friendship was and how important each one was to the other. They would never feel lonely again. Under the blue sky, the songs and laughter of happy birds echoed.
Conclusion of the fairy tale: Friendship is being together in joy and hardship, helping one another, and showing genuine kindness. Always support your friends and be kind to them, for friendship is the most valuable thing!
