Once upon a time, in a big city, there lived a little girl named Adia. She lived among many cars, people, and tall buildings. When summer came, Adia's long-awaited vacation began. Her parents decided to send her to the village to spend the summer with her grandmother and grandfather so she could relax in the fresh air and get acquainted with rural life. One morning, as the sun was shining brightly, Adia boarded a train with her parents and set off on her journey. Although the trip was long, it was exciting: outside the window, she saw green fields, forests, and small villages. When they arrived, her grandmother and grandfather greeted her at the station with big smiles.
— Welcome, Adia! — her grandmother said joyfully.
— We are so happy that you will spend the summer with us! On the very first day, her grandfather showed Adia around the entire house and the big garden, where apple trees, pear trees, and various berries grew. Adia was thrilled: she didn’t have such a large garden in the city.
— Grandpa, can I help you in the garden? — Adia asked with curiosity.
— Of course, you can, — her grandfather replied.
— Tomorrow we will start picking apples, and you can help me. The next day, after enjoying her grandmother's delicious pancakes for breakfast, Adia went to the garden with her grandfather. They picked ripe apples and put them in a basket. Adia worked hard and was very happy when her grandfather praised her.
— You are a real helper, Adia, — said her grandfather.
— Now we will have plenty of apples for compote and pies. But the work in the garden was not all that Adia did. Every day, she found new and interesting things to do. One day, she helped her grandmother milk the cow and learned how to make fresh cheese. In the evenings, her grandmother would tell Adia fairy tales and stories from her youth, while her grandfather showed her how to light a fire and fry potatoes. Adia had never tasted such delicious potatoes, and she loved sitting by the fire and listening to the stories. One of the most memorable events was attending the local produce fair. The whole village gathered in the central square, where games, dances, and treats were organized. Adia participated in a contest to make the most beautiful bouquet from wildflowers and won a small prize. Summer flew by quickly, and it was time to return home. Adia was a bit sad that her vacation was over, but she knew she would come back to her grandmother and grandfather next year.
— Thank you for the wonderful summer! — Adia said, hugging her grandmother and grandfather.
— I will miss you and our garden.
— We will miss you too, dear, — her grandmother replied.
— Come back, we will always welcome you with joy.
Adia returned home with wonderful memories of her summer in the village and new knowledge about rural life. She eagerly awaited the next summer, excited to go back and have more thrilling adventures with her grandmother and grandfather.
