The Wolf and the Farmer Fairy Tale

A wolf, while searching for food, falls into a trap that has been set. After struggling and wriggling, it finally manages to escape. As it runs away, hunters spot it and begin to chase after it. In a panic, the wolf approaches a farmer and says, "Please help me, I will never forget your kindness. Hide me in your bag until it's safe," he pleads. Seeing the wolf's dire situation, the farmer puts it in a sack and carries it on his back. Soon, the hunters arrive, brandishing their guns and swords. "Did you see a wolf running by?" they ask. "Just now, a wolf ran over that hill, hurry and catch it!" says the farmer. Once the hunters have moved on, the farmer opens the sack and tells the wolf, "You can go now, and I hope you'll do something good for me later." The wolf, overjoyed, jumps out and immediately says to the farmer, "I’m going to eat you, I'm so hungry!" The poor farmer, startled, replies, "Hey, wolf, what's this? I saved you from death! Is it right to repay good with evil? Let's ask someone else for judgment and see who's right." While they are arguing, a wandering fox arrives. They tell the fox the whole story from start to finish. The fox replies, "Don't speak of this, if someone else hears it, they will just laugh. I don't believe that a big wolf could fit in a sack; it's just a lie!" The wolf and the farmer insist, "This is true." The fox then says to the wolf, "If you don't show me how you fit in the sack, I won't believe you." The wolf, wanting to convince the fox, climbs back into the sack, and the fox turns to the farmer, "Tie the sack closed, now it's your turn to act. How do you harvest your crops in the fall? Come on, show me!" The farmer takes his tools and begins to hit the sack. After a while, the fox says, "Farmer, now open the sack." At that moment, the wolf leaps out and runs away without looking back. Behind it, the fox laughs, saying, "I’ve been using this trick for a long time." Thus, the poor farmer managed to escape death thanks to the fox's cleverness.
