Once, the Moon decided to have a dress made for herself. The tailor took the measurements of the Moon's figure and began to cut and sew the dress. When the agreed time came for the Moon to pick up her dress, it turned out to be both too tight and too short.

“Yes, I must have made a mistake,” said the tailor. So, he remeasured and started to cut and sew the dress again. As the deadline approached, the Moon came back to the tailor to collect her dress.

This time, the dress was also not fitting right and was still too short.

“Yes, I must have mismeasured again,” he said, not realizing that the Moon was growing fuller. He then remeasured, cut, and began sewing once more.

The Moon was on her way to get her dress again. As the tailor was looking through the smoke hole of his yurt, he saw the Moon, who had grown twice as large as the dress he had made. Not knowing what to do, the startled tailor ran off in the opposite direction. The Moon searched high and low but couldn’t find the tailor. As a result, the Moon was left without a dress and remained naked.
