Korney Chukovsky was a Russian poet, children's writer, translator, and journalist. He is currently considered the most published children's author in Russia.
During his youth and maturation, Chukovsky was engaged in journalism and literary criticism, and he turned to children's literature only in 1916, when he published his first collection of nursery rhymes. That year, the world saw his first fairy tale, "The Crocodile," and a few years later, the fairy tales "Wash Em' All" and "The Cockroach" appeared. Additionally, the writer studied child psychology and speech. Based on his observations, he published a book for parents titled "From 2 to 5."
