Once upon a time, there was a magnificent city located at the foothills of the Ile Alatau, known as Almaty. This city was once called Almalі, because the most delicious, sweet apples grew there. The people of Almaty referred to these fruits as the "gift of the earth" and held them in great esteem.
In the center of the city, there was a large, fruitful apple orchard. The townsfolk had long regarded this orchard as a sacred place. According to legend, within this orchard grew a special apple known as the Golden Apple. It was said that whoever tasted this apple would be granted eternal happiness and joy. However, this apple was reserved for those with a pure heart and a just spirit.
One day, a great festival was held in the city. The entire population gathered in the orchard, eager to see the Golden Apple. But that year, the orchard was in a particularly sorrowful state. The trees bore no fruit, and the flowers had wilted. The townspeople, worried about this situation, sought help from the wisest elder in the city. The elder understood the cause of the problem and advised the people: "This Apple is upset with the city. We need to show our love for the city and our compassion for one another," he said.
From that moment, the people of Almaty began to care for one another and express their love for their city. They made it a habit to clean the streets, plant flowers, and help each other. Gradually, the city began to flourish and beautify. The apple trees bloomed and started to bear fruit, and in the center of the orchard, the Golden Apple reappeared.
The townspeople, without tasting the apple, believed in its magical properties and were content just to see it. They realized that they had found happiness through their unity and love. From that day on, Almaty became a symbol of eternal love and friendship. And the Golden Apple remained just a legend, but that legend continues to live on in the hearts of the people.
